The listing shows pictures of it being used with restraints attached to the legs/posts of the bed and also by going under the mattress and over each side. I do not see a way this set would restrain from the legs/posts. Going under the mattress is just a PITA. The cuffs and cross are decent for beginners to see if you may like this type of play. Overall at it is a decent set if you are new to this type of play or wanting to test it out. If you are experienced in this play you will want to look at other options.
