This stuff looks imposing, it looks dangerous, but it’s relatively harmless. It’s a bondage “tape” made of a thin layer of PVC that leaves no residue because it has no adhesive. It sticks only to itself, yet is capable of providing proper binding and restraint. Oddly enough, it reminds me a lot of Colorforms®, the children’s toy made from vinyl sheets that similarly adhere to surfaces without adhesives. This is not child’s play, however! Easy to use, easy to tear and perfect for beginners and more experienced folks. You could probably save a few dollars by buying electrostatic tape from an office supply store, but you may not be able to find it as wide as this or in these classic colors.

I love this product. The red is especially sexy. It’s easy to use, makes a really nice and evocative sound when it’s coming off of the roll (different from rope for sure) and even for a novice like me, is easy to use and not get too tight. Cuts easily. I recall that it says this is reusable, and maybe it is, but I have not been trying to do that, especially because I like to pull against the tape which ends up stretching it out of shape and in a way that there’s no way you could get back on to a roll. If you want it to be reusable, I’m not sure how feasible that would be.

We usually use ropes so this was our first experience with bondage tape. It is non-adhesive – it only sticks to itself like an extra thick version of plastic cling-wrap in your kitchen. It is just under 2″ wide and I didn’t measure the full length but it seems to be as advertised. It is comfortable and does not stick to hair. My only complaint is that it is not really reusable as claimed. Upon removal it clings to itself and clumps up just like if you tried to reuse plastic wrap for food. We will probably use up these rolls but I don’t see it replacing our ropes. The biggest advantage of this tape over ropes is how quick and simple it is to apply.

Tape is easy to use in the bedroom. It has a bit of a stretch to it and the edges don’t cut into the skin. Didn’t leave any sticky residue on the skin, but it does have pretty decent adhesion. Most folks using this tape are probably not beginners in their journey, but this is easy enough to use for those that are looking to explore,.
Be warned, have something handy to cut it off with. If you need to get it off in a hurry, the stretchiness of the material made it a little hard to create a tear. If you don’t have time to unwind, something sharp nearby would be prudent.

Starting with the most important thing. The tape has light adhesion properties, so quickly pulling it off of hair skin is actually not that bad. The tape is designed to stick to itself far better than sticking to skin. This means to use on am arm or leg, you’ll want to wrap the tape around the extremity so it overlaps on itself. This will give a good hold. The tape can be torn by hand and it’s not too difficult, but there is enough resistance. Again, if you plan on using this as intended, you’ll want to overlap the tape at least a few times. I found that a single over-lapping could be broken fairly easily. 2 or 3 layers was a good number as it still allowed the taped to break out if necessary, though it wasn’t entirely easy. 4 or more layers and it’s basically like rope.
I’ve even tried to wet and then dry the tape and it was still easy to remove. So all is good with this thing.
