Most of this kit is pretty much starter quality, made of inexpensive foam and vinyl, and lower quality chain. It’s certainly not bad quality, but clearly intended for beginners.
The hook, however, is easily the best part of this kit. It seems to be made of hollow aluminum so it’s relatively light for its size and subsequently more comfortable to wear and use than something made from heavier stainless steel. The quality is excellent with no sharp or rough edges on either the eye-hole or hook and ball end. I’d say the kit is worth the price if only for the hook.
Please note that if you’re just starting with this type of play, it’s really important to take your time and be very careful, as this kind of toy can cause injury if not used properly.

I’ve enjoyed kits from this seller in the past, however I’ve never enjoyed their cuffs, the foam just isn’t my thing. I knew that going into the purchase, I prefer leather cuffs. Every other piece except the chain and hook is leather, however.
The hook is good quality. No scratches, nicks, or what have you where bacteria could get trapped. It is easy to clean and is reasonably sized. It is also entirely detachable, as evidenced by the kit coming disassembled, for even easier cleaning and sanitizing.
I would not say this is a beginner item. Intermediate and up, however the hook itself could be used and enjoyed by beginners and the parts could be used and enjoyed while getting experience.
